Marriage on your mind? Here are a few DOs and DON’Ts
Since Halloween hangover is still ON, I have decided to be Sima aunty and dole out some unsolicited advice on marriage. You may continue to read further or roll your eyes at me, but here you go…
DOs
1.Go with an open mind.
2.The smallest red flag shouldn’t be dismissed.
3.Always respect another person’s time.
4.Put in the effort. If you aren’t interested, indicate fairly early on.
5.Always discuss non-negotiables to avoid disappointment.
DON’Ts
1.Don’t rely on hearsay or others’ experiences.
2.Don’t question your ability or awesomeness
3. Don’t be under pressure because of a biological clock or some elder members of the family expressing a “last wish”
4. Don’t be rude or impolite. Convey your point nevertheless.
5.Don’t tolerate disrespect.
